В статье дан анализ роли структурных и институциональных условий и факторов, определяющих основные проблемы устойчивого развития Северного Кавказа. Подчеркнуто, что государственные программы развития, разрабатываемые для Северного Кавказа, в основном учитывают структурные особенности региона: его природные и социально- экономические условия, однако слабо учитывают институциональные: наличие институтов обычного права, неформальных социальных отношений и др.

The monograph was prepared by a group of authors based on the materials of the 8th All-Russian Scientific and Technical Conference with international participation “Modern Problems of Geology, Geophysics and Geoecology of the North Caucasus” (Essentuki, October 10–13, 2018). The collective monograph presents a wide range of scientific problems: from studying the geological structure of the North Caucasus and certain regions of Russia to issues of geoecology and environmental protection. Materials are presented on the geology and mineral resources of the South of Russia, promising areas of modern geology and geophysics, forecasting and searching for minerals, using the latest methods and technologies, modelling the geological structure, geoecological problems, etc.
