О влиянии общей экспозиции местности на температуру воздуха в Кавказском заповеднике

Температурный режим северного и южного склонов Кавказского хребта в районе Кавказского заповедника (на меридиане Сочи и восточнее на 70—80 км от него) определяется совокупностью факторов, в том числе общим наклоном местности в ту или другую сторону и, следовательно, различными углами падения солнечных лучей. Однако, едва ли этот фактор имеет ведущее значение, так как, с одной стороны, склоны различных экспозиций имеются и по северную и по южную стороны главного водораздела, а с другой — северный и южный склоны Кавказского хребта в неодинаковой степени подвержены воздействию воздушных масс, приходящих извне.

The temperature regime of the northern and southern slopes of the Caucasian ridge in the region of the Caucasus Reserve (on the meridian of Sochi and 70–80 km east of it) is determined by a combination of factors, including the general slope of the terrain in one direction or another and, therefore, different angles of incidence of sunlight. However, this factor is hardly of leading importance, since, on the one hand, the slopes of various exposures are both on the northern and southern sides of the main watershed, and on the other, the northern and southern slopes of the Caucasus Range are not equally affected by air masses coming from the outside. The temperature regime of the northern slope, especially its lower parts, in winter is subject to the influence of cold air masses flowing from the north. On the southern slope, this factor is weakened.
