В статье оценены масштабы массового схода лавин 24 марта 2018 года. В результате маршрутного обследования выявлены отложения лавин сошедших в марте 2018 года в долине р. Баксан на участке от Поляны Азау до устья р. Адыр-Су. Сравнительное дешифрирование разновременных космоснимков Sentinel 2А позволило определить количество лавин и площадь их отложений. До и после массового схода лавин отмечены лавины, вызванные активными воздействиями.

The monograph was prepared by a group of authors based on the materials of the 8th All-Russian Scientific and Technical Conference with international participation “Modern Problems of Geology, Geophysics and Geoecology of the North Caucasus” (Essentuki, October 10–13, 2018). The collective monograph presents a wide range of scientific problems: from studying the geological structure of the North Caucasus and certain regions of Russia to issues of geoecology and environmental protection. Materials are presented on the geology and mineral resources of the South of Russia, promising areas of modern geology and geophysics, forecasting and searching for minerals, using the latest methods and technologies, modelling the geological structure, geoecological problems, etc.
